Bad Buddha is an original Rock band from Pittsburgh that blends Rock, Blues, Pop, and Jazz elements to take listeners on an upbeat musical journey.  For the past 18 months Bad Buddha has been entertaining a growing fan base around Pittsburgh ’s East End and South Side.

J. Al ex Lang   - Al to Saxophone.  Al ex was born into a musical family thirty years ago, where he began playing piano as a toddler, and eventually picked up a few woodwind instruments.  At one point Al ex got confused and thought that a camera was a musical instrument, and he tries to play a 35mm camera as well. 

 

Brad Lauer - Bass player, vocals and song writing.  Brad started as a musician at the age of 12 playing a concert bass in the middle school orchestra.   The same year he started playing bass guitar for the jazz band.   He has played in many different rock and jazz groups since.   Influences include: Geddy Lee, Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius, and Dave Matthews.

 

Art Manion – Drums.   Art played in marching band, stage band, orchestras, and with friends here and there.  Then he went to college and put away the drums.  After college, Art wisely got the drums out and played with DogTown Road .  Then Art moved back to Pittsburgh and put the drums away again.  Wisdom prevailed, and Art got the drums back out to play with Bad Buddha.

 

Jeff Picone - Guitar, vocals and song writing.  Jeff has played on the Pittsburgh Music scene for a while moving out of the basement with local bands "The Bad Guys" and “Trudy" before forming Bad Buddha in September of 2005.
